MORAN • KARAMOUZIS LLP
is a commercial litigation firm, with offices in New
York City and Long Island. The Firm represents a broad
spectrum of Clients in a wide range of commercial and
corporate litigation matters typical of much larger
firms, but in a more efficient and cost effective
manner. Because of our size, our clients receive more
specialized attention than they would from larger firms.
The Firm practices at all levels of the Federal and
State courts in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut,
and several other states as well.
MORAN • KARAMOUZIS LLP
was originally founded by Siobhan E. Moran in 1996. Siobhan
E. Moran and Andrew P. Karamouzis both began their legal
careers in the litigation department of Shearman &
Sterling, a nationally recognized law firm, where they
each gained valuable training and experience. After
leaving Shearman & Sterling, Siobhan E. Moran served as
in-house counsel at several Fortune 500 companies, and
thus has a unique perspective and understanding of the
corporate client's needs. Mr. Karamouzis is an
accomplished litigator with significant trial
experience.
As a women-owned law
firm, the Firm is a certified member of the National
Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms ("NAMWOLF")
and is also AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell. MORAN • KARAMOUZIS LLP provides high quality legal representation and obtains favorable results for its Clients, at competitive rates. Indeed, as one Client’s General Counsel remarked “no other Firm does it better.” Why?
- Results-Oriented. All matters are assigned to an experienced attorney capable of clearly defining the issues and proposing a suitable plan of action. We look for the most economical and advantageous approach to achieve the Client’s objectives.
- Responsiveness to Clients. We work with our Clients to achieve agreed-upon goals, taking the initiative in defining issues and projecting costs to meet the Client’s objectives. We provide frequent reports of substantive progress and are frank about resources required to complete the task. Whether we interact with our Clients’ business executives or in-house counsel, we realize that our advice is required within the context of our Clients’ real world business objectives and not in hypothetical form.
- Involved Partners. Our partners are totally involved in the substance of Client matters. They are productive attorneys, engaged in thinking, writing and acting on behalf of the Clients they serve and are not merely administrators of junior attorneys.
- Experienced Associates. All of our associates are well-trained, seasoned attorneys who bring value to their work and contribute substance at an early stage.
- Sensitivity to Economics of Litigation.
MORAN • KARAMOUZIS LLP encourages Clients to view litigation as they would any other business strategy: costs can be estimated; budgets can be established and monitored; and staff can be allocated to reflect those budgets.
These characteristics benefit all of our Clients, from the start-up or small, closely-held business to the large, multi-national corporation, and our commitment is the same. The Firm provides sophisticated, quality service, personal attention and practical, cost-effective solutions for its clients.
