Ms. Moran began her legal career in the litigation department of Shearman & Sterling in New York City where she concentrated on commercial and corporate litigation from 1987 to 1992. At Shearman & Sterling, Ms. Moran's practice centered on complex corporate and commercial litigation including banking matters, insurance, securities, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, health law and real estate matters. She conducted bench and jury trials over a period of five years, representing Clients such as Citigroup, N.A., Merrill Lynch, Bank of Nova Scotia, Young & Rubicam, Private Export Funding Company, and Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. From 1992 to 1993, Ms. Moran was associated with the law firm of Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross P.C., in Newark, New Jersey. At Sills Cummis, Ms. Moran focused on products liability, insurance, securities, contract and construction law, representing such Clients as Bristol Myers-Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, and Becton Dickinson.

Ms. Moran is a 1987 graduate of St. John's University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review, and a 1983 graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. She is also a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Her speeches/publications include contributions to the "Practitioner's Guide to Product Liability Law in New Jersey" (Butterworth Publishing 1994); co-authoring with Chief Judge Charles L. Brieant, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, a speech delivered to the Annual Dinner of the New York Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law Association; Author, "Assault Upon the Attorney Client Privilege: A Call To Stem the Erosion;" and Author, In re: Second Circuit's Novel Approach to Defining Debt Under the Bankruptcy Code, 60 St. John's Law Review 344 (1986).

Ms. Moran is admitted to practice in the Federal and State Courts of New York and New Jersey. She serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms. She is active in the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations as well as the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Moran is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell.
