In April 2002, Ms. Moran joined the Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Moran had a
distinguished 22-year career in public service with
the New York Appellate Division Grievance Committee
for the 10th Judicial District, where she retired as
the Committee's first woman Chief Counsel. Ms. Moran
is also a past (and the first woman) President of the
Bar Association of Nassau County, New York. She
concentrates in the areas of Professional Discipline
and Commercial Litigation. Ms. Moran holds a Bachelor
of Science Degree from Fordham University, and is a
graduate of St. John's University School of Law.
Ms. Moran has lectured extensively on various topics
before the American Bar Association, the New York
State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar
Association Academy of Law, the Suffolk County Bar
Association Academy of Law, the American Academy of
Matrimonial Lawyers, and the National Conference of
Bar Leaders. She has also been a guest lecturer and
CLE instructor at St. John's, Touro, and Hofstra Law
Schools. Her articles have been published in the Hofstra
Law Review, and the Nassau Lawyer.
Ms. Moran has served on the Nassau County Judicial
Advisory Council, and as a director of the Alumni
Association of St. John's University School of Law and
the Nassau County Women's Bar Association. Ms. Moran
is currently serving as a member of the Nassau County
Board of Ethics, the Judicial Committee of the Nassau
County Bar Association, and the Rosa Lee Young Day
Care Center Board. She is a Fellow of the New York
State Bar Fund. She is a former Director of South
Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside, New York,
Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, New York, and
New Island Hospital, Bethpage, New York; and Past
Director and Secretary, Winthrop South Nassau
University Health System.
Ms. Moran is admitted to the State and Federal Courts
of New York State, and the United States Supreme
Court. She is the author of "New York's
Amended Code of Professional Responsibility: A Guide
to What's New," 29 Hofstra Law Rev. 239
(2000). Ms. Moran is AV Peer Review Rated by
