Mr. Karamouzis joined the Firm as a partner in 1998.
Mr. Karamouzis began his legal career as an associate
in the Litigation Department of Shearman &
Sterling, where, from 1989 through 1994, he worked on
corporate and commercial litigation matters including
contract, banking, insurance, securities, mergers and
acquisitions, anti-trust, bankruptcy, construction
arbitration, professional liability and real estate
matters. During that time, Mr. Karamouzis tried
several cases to verdict, both jury and bench trials,
garnered significant motion and deposition experience,
and handled numerous sensitive corporate internal
investigations.
In 1995, Mr. Karamouzis became associated with the law
firm of King, Pagano & Harrison, where he
continued his commercial practice, with an emphasis on
employment law on behalf of management, including
matters involving employment contracts, Title VII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1991, as amended, the
Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical
Leave Act and ERISA.
Mr. Karamouzis recently was elected as a Village
Trustee of the Incorporated Village of Rockville
Centre. He is a 1989 graduate of Fordham Law School,
where he was a member of the Law Review, and is a 1986
graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he
received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He is a
graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Karamouzis is fluent in Greek, and is admitted to
practice in the Federal and State Courts of New York
and Connecticut. He is active in the New York State
and Nassau County Bar Associations, as well as the
Defense Research Institute. Mr. Karamouzis is AV Peer
